Any exercise is better than any excuse. Sometimes the hardest part about going to exercise is actually going to the facility or the gym. There are many reasons why you shouldn’t do things, but none of them are as good as the one reason you should: to get better. For 7 years, Rhonda Banjak-Horvath was a real estate agent in the Mahoning Valley but knew she wanted something better. So she became the latest addition to the Burgan Bunch at Burgan Real Estate, making the third largest real estate company by volume in Mahoning County that much stronger.
A native of Hubbard, Rhonda became a personal fitness trainer during her time attending YSU where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Health Education. Her passion for helping others and improving someone’s health through fitness and exercise was a calling she could not refuse to answer. For 17 years, she managed and trained people, leaving their health and lifestyles better than when she found them. However, there was always something more she was looking to gain out of her professional career. Her love of interior decorating led her to pursue further her education at Hondros College of Business where she completed her courses, becoming a certified REALTOR®. Whether it was in real estate or physical fitness, Rhonda takes pride in fulfilling dreams for people of the Mahoning Valley.
While many people are aware of her passion for fitness, we all have a sweet tooth, and Rhonda is no different. While it is not candy or pop that she indulges in, although she’s not going to pass on a salty sweet treat, she can’t pass up a good meal at Muscarella’s or Texas Roadhouse. She’s always ready to go on vacations with her family and friends, including having a bag packed to cross of that trip to Europe that is still on her bucket list. Her husband, Roman, of 23 years is the perfect traveling partner. To relax, all you have to give Rhonda is an iced coffee with a faint scent of coconut in the air and it’s like she’s on her own little vacation. Her passionate and caring spirit also extends into her personal time, where she is active with animal rights charities and events, stemming from her absolute love of her pets at home.
Joining Burgan Real Estate was a big change for Rhonda, but one that she knew was the right thing to do. Her professionalism, trustworthiness and commitment to her clients were a perfect fit into the “Better with Burgan” culture the 41-year old agency practices.
“I decided on joining the Burgan family because of the popularity the company has in our area and Patrick (Burgan) and Sue’s (Filipovich) remarkable personalities. Burgan is a well-known, local company that has been thriving for a very long time. It’s large enough to do remarkable advertising yet small enough to work as a family. I believe I will never stop learning and will be very happy to be a part of their team,” said Horvath.
